I designed my first website in 1995. I worked on the information architecture, reviewed the usability, evaluated readability and scannability, and conducted usability testing — all before I knew what it really was. Since that time, I have proceeded to compile over 20 years of what we now know to be experience design acumen, working over the past 16+ years as a full-time UX professional, including work for the Fortune 50 and for some of the largest digital design agencies in the world. I am skilled and experienced in various types of UX-related disciplines, methods, and methodologies, including heuristics and usability, UX research, information architecture, interaction design, and interface design.
I also take great pleasure in mentoring and engaging in educational efforts, serving as an adjunct at Kent State University and Lawrence Technological University. I’m also the host of The World of UX with Darren Hood podcast.
